Vineet Nayyar

An accomplished leader, Vineet has led several organizations across industries, creating high performance teams and successful businesses. In a career spanning over 40 years, he has worked with the Government, international multilateral agencies and the corporate sector (both public and private).

Vineet started his career with the Indian Administrative Service. While in the Government, he held series of senior positions, including that of a District Magistrate, Secretary - Agriculture & Rural Development for the Government of Haryana and Director, Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India. He also worked with the World Bank for over 10 years in a series of senior assignments, including successively being the Chief for the Energy, Infrastructure and the Finance Divisions for East Asia and Pacific.

In the Corporate sector, Vineet was the founding Chairman & Managing Director of the state owned Gas Authority of India. And in the Private Sector, he served as the Managing Director of HCL Corporation and as the Vice Chairman of HCL Technologies. He was also the founder & CEO of HCL Perot Systems.

In addition to his current responsibilities as Vice-Chairman of Tech Mahindra, he serves as a Director on the Boards of Great Eastern Shipping, Business Standard, Kotak Life Insurance, The Mahindra United World College of India, The Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd., and the Tech Mahindra Foundation.

Vineet holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts.

 

Ulhas N. Yargop

Ulhas N. Yargop

Ulhas N. Yargop is a Non-Executive Director of the Company. Ulhas joined the Mahindra & Mahindra Group in 1992 as General Manager - Corporate Planning. He later moved to the Automotive Sector as General Manager - product Planning, and was responsible for the product management function for automotive products. In 1994, he was appointed as General Manager, Mahindra-Ford Project, and led the Mahindra & Mahindra team working on the joint venture project with Ford Motor Company. In 1996, he was appointed as Treasurer and assumed responsibility for Corporate Finance. Since 1999, Ulhas has been President – telecom & Software Sector and a member of the Group Management Board.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.

C.P. Gurnani

CP Gurnani plays a key role in defining the company strategy and spearheads Global Operations, Sales and Marketing and the development of Competency & Solution Units. His inimitable style of leadership combined with his sharp focus on customer experience has helped Tech Mahindra to emerge as one of the leading providers of IT Services and Telecom Solutions to the global telecom ecosystem.

A visionary and a natural strategist, CP has played a significant role in transforming Tech Mahindra into a global force and taking it to the billion dollar mark. He has established strategic client relations with global Fortune 500 firms and represented Tech Mahindra at leading international forums.

With over 26 years of experience, CP’s professional history encompasses several leading positions with Perot Systems and HCL Corporation. Prior to his role at Tech Mahindra, CP was the Chief Operating Officer & Founder of Perot Systems (India) Limited, initially set up as HCL Perot Systems.

At HCL Perot Systems, CP orchestrated the HCL and Perot Systems joint venture from its inception to making it one of India’s top IT services companies. He has extensive experience in building international business, start-ups, turnarounds, joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions.

CP is a Chemical Engineer (1981) from National Institute of Technology- Rourkela and serves on the Boards of ipolicy networks, CanvasM, Mahindra Logisoft and Tennenbaum Institute in Georgia Institute of Technology among others. He was nominated by Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2007.

A respected and inspiring leader, CP takes a keen interest in Community related activities. He believes in the ‘working hard-playing hard’ adage.

 

Sanjay Kalra

Sanjay Kalra is the CEO of Tech Mahindra. In his earlier role at Tech Mahindra he spearheaded the BT relationship and business transformation services. Prior to joining Tech Mahindra, Sanjay was the Chief Executive Officer of DSL Software (a joint venture between HCL and Deutsche Bank), which is focused on IT and BPO solutions to Capital Markets. He has also served as President of HCL Technologies Europe and was responsible for the creation and incubation of Cisco's first outsourced R&D center outside North America with around 1000 engineers.

An IIT Delhi Alumnus with global roles in Schlumberger and Tata Unisys, Sanjay has extensively leveraged offshore delivery to create new products and business lines, nurtured start-ups and led high growth businesses. Sanjay was responsible for cross-border transactions involving the purchase of Deutsche Software from Deutsche Bank, Apollo Contact Center from BT in Northern Ireland and Axes Technologies in India.

Navin Mehta

Navin has over 27 years of experience in the Telecommunications and IT Industry. Prior to joining Motorola, Navin was with Comverse Americas Services where he was responsible for Services sales, launching of professional and system integration offerings resulting in increased revenues as well as managing the Program Management function that oversaw the delivery of projects in Americas. Navin joined Comverse from Nortel Networks where he was the Vice President for Global Professional Services responsible for the Next Generation Wireless Solutions. Prior to Nortel Networks Navin was with Compaq/Digital Equipment Corporation where he held positions of increasing responsibility from 1984 to 1999. This included senior management roles in Hong Kong and Singapore with Asia-Pacific responsibilities.

Navin Mehta is the VP of the Applications Services Practice for Motorola’s Networks & Enterprise Business Unit. He has the global responsibility for the strategy and execution for Motorola’s Application Practice and strengthening relationships with customers and partners. In addition, Navin heads the Services R&D function. Navin has a MBA and a Law Degree with an undergraduate degree in Economics Honors. He has attended company sponsored executive management program at Harvard Business School.

Geoff Roman

Geoff Roman is Chief Strategy Officer for Motorola Connected Home Solutions. In this role, Roman identifies and leverages strategic opportunities for the business, identifies emerging market trends, and focuses on technology-sharing initiatives across Motorola, Inc.

Prior to that position, Mr. Roman was corporate vice president and director, strategy for Motorola’s Networks Sector developing strategic programs spanning Motorola’s broadband,wireless infrastructure and CGISS businesses. Prior to Motorola's merger with General Instrument, he was executive vice president for General Instrument Corporation. In this position, Mr. Roman managed the Company's worldwide sales, service, customer support and advanced development functions.

Previously, Mr. Roman was senior vice president and general manager of the business unit responsible for developing and marketing the SURFboard cable modems. His previous assignments were as senior vice president of strategic planning for GI's Communications Division, vice president of marketing for the Distribution Systems Division and vice president of Marketing and Engineering for the RF Systems Division.

Before joining General Instrument in 1982, Roman was a group leader with the MITRE Corporation where he was principal in the design and implementation of local area networks for a number of government facilities. Roman's career began with the New York Telephone Company where he worked in the area of outside plant engineering including the company's leaseback cable systems.

Roman is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with both a master's and Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering. He is the author of many papers addressing various aspects of local area networks and cable television.
