Jagdish Mitra

Jagdish leads CanvasM’s bid to become the leading VAS enabler for the global communications industry.

Jagdish has over 15 years of experience in the areas of business development, IT project management and marketing in the global information services market. Jagdish has worked in building strategic relationships and business with key telecom accounts worldwide for Tech Mahindra. His telecom expertise spans design, development and domain knowledge of IT systems for the telecommunications industry. In his immediate past role he was responsible for building and growing the Global Managed services business. Managed Services in specific areas, is Tech Mahindra’s foray into complete outsourcing of services combining operations and software solutions and delivering a combined service offering. Prior to moving to this role Jagdish was the head of the Global Marketing and Corporate Communications function in Tech Mahindra. Jagdish holds a masters degree in Computer Applications from Birla Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of London.

Amar Agarwal
Delivery, Operations and Infrastructure

Amar heads the overall Delivery and Operations at CanvasM. He has over 16 years of IT industry experience with a majority of them in the telecom vertical leading large delivery and operations functions. Prior to joining CanvasM, Amar was responsible for setting up a large offshore development center in HCL Technologies with a multinational Telecom Product Company in the VAS domain.

Amar holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science) from the Birla Institute of Technology.

Nagesh Madhwal
BD – APAC/MEA/SAARC

Nagesh leads the business development efforts for CanvasM across Asia and ANZ. He holds additional responsibility for forging the marketing and alliances program at CanvasM.

Nagesh has over 14 years of experience in business development of which the last 6 years are in telecom. Nagesh has successfully designed and executed complex deals related to total outsourcing and hosted revenue share models.

Vivek handles the key function of defining the portfolio and partnership strategy for CanvasM. Vivek has over eleven years of experience in the telecom domain and specializes in innovating VAS products, platforms and related technologies. Vivek has managed large complex telecom and VAS projects spanning strategic planning to partnership management to business modeling. Prior to joining CanvasM he has worked in leadership positions with tier 1 Indian service providers Bharti-Airtel and Idea as well as with telecom vendors like Lucent and Siemens, in India and abroad.

Vivek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication engineering from REC Kurukshetra and his hobbies are equity analysis and traveling.

Prabha Aithal
Chief Technical Officer

Prabha is responsible for device testing practice and technology direction for the company. He has over 20 years experience in the telecom domain and specializes in standardization, device development and device certification. Prior to joining CanvasM, Prabha held lead technical roles overseas with service providers Cingular Wireless/AT&T Mobility, SingTel Optus as well as with telecom equipment manufacturers like ERG Australia and ITI. Prabha represented AT&T for over 5 years in GSM North America, GSM Association, 3G Americas, Global Certification Forum (GCF) and 3GPP terminal working groups/standards.

Prabha is a Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Graduate Member of Institute of Engineers Australia. He has received US patents on Intelligent Utilization of Resources in Mobile Devices (7,026,984) and Systems and methods for GSM system Selection (7,167,707). Prabha has submitted several more patentable ideas to USPTO before leaving AT&T.

Prabha holds bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from KREC (now NITK) Suratkal and his hobbies are personal/professional networking, traveling and playing volleyball.

Bertrand Gatellier
Business Development - Europe

Bertrand has over 20 years of experience in the IT and Telecom industries, including 6 years with Lucent Technologies where he was Regional Director EMEA for the Messaging Business Unit. Bertrand also spent 10 years with Equant (now known as Orange Business Services) where was responsible for the development of consultancy and marketing programmes as well as product realisation and service definitions.

Bertrand has been the President of the VMA since 1999, a trade association that promotes enhanced voice services within the telecom industry in Europe and USA. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Arts et Métiers, Paris and an MBA from the Henley Management College (UK).

Suresh Sarawagi
Manager Finance and Company Secretary

Suresh is responsible for Financial, secretarial and legal functions of CanvasM. He has 8 years wide experience in the field of accounts, finance, legal compliance, taxation, transfer pricing and has worked with eFunds Corporation and Dhanuka Group prior to joining CanvasM.

He is a qualified Company Secretary and Cost Accountant.
