Tech Mahindra signs agreement with UEFA

India, Mumbai, August 7th, 2006: Tech Mahindra, a leading Indian provider of IT solutions to telecom companies (Ranked 8th largest in terms of export revenues as per Nasscom 2005), today announced the signing of an agreement with UEFA, the Union of European Football Associations.

Under the agreement, Tech Mahindra will provide solutions in relation to UEFA managed mobile services which will be designed to enable UEFA to offer football content direct to mobile devices across the world. The agreement was announced at a function in Mumbai by Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Board, Tech Mahindra, and Alexandre Fourtoy, Chief Executive Officer, UEFA Media Technologies SA.

Mobile phones are now becoming powerful enough to handle video, music and pictures, and with the advent of 3G users want to use these devices for a lot more than just voice. Through its relationship with Tech Mahindra, UEFA plans to enable football fans across the world to access content from its European competitions wherever and whenever they wish using their mobile phones.

Tech Mahindra’s experience in dealing with the technology of Content Delivery Platforms and having handled turn key jobs in building such platforms for operators worldwide has helped them win this contract. Under the agreement, Tech Mahindra will build and operate the mobile delivery IT environment for UEFA content, connecting it to various operator networks across the world and provide 24x7 support to deliver this content direct to football fans.

Tech Mahindra will continue to focus on premium content providers and help them to deliver their content to consumers across the world on mobile devices, a powerful personal medium today.
